Multi-Pitch Climbing
Join Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides for a weekend of multi-pitch climbing in beautiful Seneca Rocks, WV. Kick the weekend off with a Friday night self-rescue course, followed by two days of spectacular multi-pitch climbing. You will have the opportunity to climb with friends or to make new ones as you ascend the 300’ fins while being expertly guided by the most experienced guides at Seneca Rocks. Get ready to stand on the summit of Seneca Rocks!
Camping at Seneca Rocks Mountain Guides’ beautiful creekside campground is included Friday through Sunday night. Breakfast, Saturday and Sunday along with dinner Saturday night is provided by SRMG as well.

The Mountaineering Section of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC-MS)
PATC-MS is the premiere mountaineering, rock, and ice climbing club in the greater DC area. On any given day you can find PATC-MS members at the local crags or gyms. Since 1937 the club has provided a positive community for climbers of all levels to learn, grow, and thrive on vertical terrain. Members have access to informal training and mentorship, partially subsidized trips to local and distant destinations, conservation opportunities, access to the club gear closet, and eligibility for club grant programs. Mid Atlantic Climbers (MAC)
MAC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving access to climbing areas in the Mid-Atlantic region, while promoting responsible climbing and environmental stewardship. MAC serves as a liaison between the climbing community and the public and private land managers of the climbing areas in our region. There are tons of fantastic after-work crags and awesome weekend spots in the mid-atlantic, and it’s our mission to look out for them.
Rock Climbing Instructor Development Seminar
The State of Maryland requires all youth camps to have qualified staff members on site during climbing and rappelling programs. Earth Treks developed a certification program in 1993 and has been teaching it ever since. This program is recognized by the State of Maryland, and successful completion meets their criteria for staff leading climbing programs in a Maryland youth camp. This is an intensive program geared toward top roped climbing and covers industry best practices regarding risk management, teaching skills, hard skills and basic rescue skills. The seminar consists of two days of training and a one day exam.
