Strong
Strong classes combine invigorating and vitalizing poses which fortify strength, flexibility, balance, and mind-body awareness. The breath is harnessed as a tool to improve focus during yoga, climbing and other activities. Poses range from moderate to difficult and modifications are offered to appeal to beginner and advanced yoga practitioners alike.
Relaxed
Relaxed yoga classes focus on releasing tension and lengthening muscles through gentle movement and deep breathing. Students will leave class feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Restorative
Restorative classes incorporate active relaxation, using props and longer held poses to promote healing. This Sunday afternoon class is perfect for recovery or those times when you feel weak, stressed, fatigued, have an injury, or want to recuperate your body or mind after climbing.
Instructors Missy was raised in Colorado and enjoys being an active skier, hiker and yogini. In addition she is a social worker for a Mental Health recovery center in Boulder and owns a t-shirt business called “Speak Your Heart”, that inspires a world that is more environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just. As a Colorado native, Gina has had the opportunity to teach and practice Yoga at multiple studios in Denver/Boulder. Now at Earth Treks, Gina can blend her passion for outdoor sports, such as climbing, snowboarding and hiking into her yoga teachings. Her inspiration for her classes comes from the natural movement found in nature and you will see this Dharma incorporated into her classes. Gina’s goal is to share her practice with her students in an authentic way, and help them find their own inner teacher. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2011, and is now studying Holistic Health at Metro State University of Denver so she can continue to help people live healthy, balanced and positive lives. When you attend one of her classes, you will enter a welcoming environment that encourages all levels and abilities. Each class is tailored for the beginner level with room to grow into advanced variations in poses, with a steady Vinyasa-inspired flow. She teaches a regular class Fridays at 9am, but you will find her throughout the schedule subbing.
Annette Bray
Exploring the release of resistance that is mirrored in the physical and spiritual aspects of our being is a joyful life experience. An experience that Annette has journeyed through and found wisdom and gratitude in the process. She began sharing her love of movement in 1996 when she attained her degree in kinesiology. And her many years as an avid outdoor enthusiast furthered this passion for helping others find joy in engaging the physical body. Her professional philosophy has always been one of holding great value for the quality of movement and the interconnectedness of all parts of the human form. Personal life experience brought her to the place of seeking another tier of wisdom: the interweaving of the physical and spiritual body. Her study of yoga began in 2009 with Jeanie Manchester and the alignment focused study of Anusara, which was nothing less than transformative. From 18 years of personal and professional experience grew the idea to create MoYo Movement which brings together the biomechanical principles of mobility and the mindful discipline of yoga. From this perspective Annette helps her clients improve the way they move to sustain joyful lifelong activity: the pursuit of which she believes to be vital to a connected human experience.
Susan Lambert
Yoga is the vehicle that unites all of Susan’s passions and strengths. An avid athlete and outdoor adventurer, Susan began practicing yoga in 2000 as a way to find balance in an otherwise fast-paced life. She is inspired by various mentors in Colorado and beyond and did her 200-hour teacher training at Vital Yoga in Denver. Susan also works as an international travel guide and owns Away to Be, a company that facilitates intercultural relationships and learning through travel. Whether on the mat, rock, court, trail, or in a small community in the world, Susan finds absolute truth and relevance between the principles she has learned through yoga and their universal application. She sees beauty in both the simple and complex and thrives from comprehending more about the mind and body and the stories that unite human beings. Susan’s classes are both relaxing and energizing, static and dynamic. She teaches alignment-based hatha that includes vinyasa, optimal and therapeutic alignment and inversions. Her classes elicit thought, strength and a smile!
Missy Pujatnai Fisher
Missy “Pujatnai” Fisher has been a dedicated practitioner of yoga for 7 years and in 2011 became formally trained through Vital Yoga. She teaches what she likes to practice: rigorous and playful Vinyasa style with introductions to advanced postures while focusing on proper alignment. She provides a fun, welcoming environment for students of all levels to practice, though encourages students to push themselves to their own personal edge. Missy has done some deep spiritual work opening her heart, and with that has learned how flow more gracefully along the river of life. She guides students to do the same by encouraging them to open their heart, mind, body, and spirit.
Gina Sferrazza
Tiffany Shocklee
Teacher trainings at YogaWorks (2004), Esalen Institute (2007), and Om Time (2009), plus ten year’s experience as a yoga teacher and massage therapist, have given Tiffany a solid foundation in the art and science of yoga. She is grateful to many teachers, including Julian Walker and Shannon Paige, for opening doors into the infinite possibilities of this practice. Rock climbing is another powerful influence on her teaching style and she is especially delighted to teach to climbers. In an alignment-based Vinyasa class, we blend the precision of therapeutic alignment with creative, rhythmic sequencing that moves like a dance. We will tap deep veins of grace and strength, create conversation between breath and body, and awaken our ability to heal through conscious movement. It is Tiffany’s goal to inspire fascination with your own internal landscape. Come willing to play, explore, laugh at yourself, be challenged, and create incredible community.
Elan Solveson
Elan discovered yoga in 2010 and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2012. Elan often prefers balancing on her hands to standing on her feet and has learned through the yoga practice that you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to with equal parts patience and determination. With a background in Vinyasa yoga and a love for going upside down, she encourages playfulness and laughter in class. Elan uses the yoga practice as a vessel for students to step outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves. Elan reminds students that there is always the option to choose ease, gratitude, and joy no matter the circumstance. She is grateful to be able to share her passion of yoga and to create a space of possibility for students to grow both on and off their mat.
Courtney Taucher
In 2015 Courtney trained in the “Give Peace a Chance” 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Asana Yoga lead by Santosh Powell. Courtney is passionate about her yoga practice, and about sharing the benefits of yoga to diverse populations and various levels. She believes in the importance of breath, movement and mindfulness, she seeks to help people find their own experiences in yoga.
