We have witnessed time and again the incredible personal achievements young people are able to make through climbing. Rock climbing has a unique way of drawing out a child’s personal best, while at the same time asking that they put their trust in their peers. We hope that you will give your child the opportunity to broaden his or her horizons (as well as make some great new friends) by joining Earth Treks this summer for a rock climbing camp.

Earth Treks offers two different summer rock climbing day camps for kids convenient to the Denver and Golden, Colorado region.

Kids Kamp (Ages 6-9)

A 3-day, ½ day indoor climbing summer camp for young climbers (ages 6-9). Kids will be introduced to age appropriate safety skills and of course climb, climb, climb. Activities improve self esteem, social skills, and kinesthetic development. The goal of this course is to provide a foundation on which to build a lifetime of climbing that focuses on fun, teamwork, and safety.

Timeline: 9:00am-12:00pm Tuesday through Thursday
Ages: 6-9
Price: $110
Prerequisites: None required, but Friday Nite Rox or equivalent program is very beneficial.

Summer Climbing Day Camp (Ages 9-13)

A five day indoor and outdoor summer rock climbing camp for kids age 9-13. Your child’s development includes the skills of belaying and tying into the rope and the movement and problem solving skills needed in climbing. Participants meet daily at Earth Treks in Golden Colorado. Day one includes team building challenges, belay skills instruction, and climbing. By day two they'll be ready to test their mettle on more challenging climbs. Day 3 and 4 are spent climbing outdoors at Alderfer / Three Sisters Park near Evergreen Colorado. The week will culminate at the gym with a friendly Climbers’ Olympics on Friday with a pizza lunch.

Timeline: Monday, Tuesday & Friday 9:00am-3:00pm; Wednesday & Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm

Prerequisites: None required, but Friday Nite Rox, Junior Climbing Club and Recreational Climbing Club are all great primers.
