Yoga Classes for Members at Earth Treks Climbing, Golden

Earth Treks Golden offers a full schedule of yoga classes taught by some of the best yoga instructors in Denver and Golden! With more than twenty yoga classes per week, it’s easy to find a class to fit into your climbing and fitness routine. Yoga classes are included in the cost of all entrance fees (membership, day pass, etc). Please see schedule and instructor bios below.

All yoga classes are designated as Strong, Relaxed, or Restorative.

Strong
Strong classes combine invigorating and vitalizing poses which fortify strength, flexibility, balance, and mind-body awareness. The breath is harnessed as a tool to improve focus during yoga, climbing and other activities. Poses range from moderate to difficult and modifications are offered to appeal to beginner and advanced yoga practitioners alike.

Relaxed
Relaxed yoga classes focus on releasing tension and lengthening muscles through gentle movement and deep breathing. Students will leave class feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Restorative
Restorative classes incorporate active relaxation, using props and longer held poses to promote healing. This Sunday afternoon class is perfect for recovery or those times when you feel weak, stressed, fatigued, have an injury, or want to recuperate your body or mind after climbing.

Yoga Instructors

Annette Bray

Annette began studying Anusara, an alignment-focused type of yoga, with Jeanie Manchester in 2009. Annette calls upon her love of the outdoors to inspire her students to connect with the world around them. Over the past 18 years, Annette has helped her students focus on corrective exercise and quality of movement. An Exercise Physiologist for orthopedic and cancer patients, a Corporate Wellness Manager, and a Personal Trainer, Annette’s diverse expertise guides her practice. While fostering her students’ physical training, she teaches them to be aware of the interconnectedness of body and mind. Her personal and professional experience inspired her to create MoYo Movement, uniting yoga with the biomechanical principles of mobility. Annette is a masterful teacher who frames yoga as a joyful, lifelong activity that can enrich her students’ lives in many ways.

Lindsay Gonzalez

E-RYT 500 Based in Golden, Colorado, Lindsay is an international yoga teacher in search of adventures both on and off the mat. She is known for her keen understanding of breathwork practices, body alignment, sense of humor, and ability to empower her students to live fully! With over a decade of experience in her field, she leads 200 and 300-hour teacher trainings, workshops, and retreats throughout the world. Lindsay is a model and contributor for Yoga Journal magazine and is releasing her first book about yoga in the summer of 2017. Lindsay has a deep love of of snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, surfing, SUP, and rock climbing. She owns and operates Breathe On Board, an adventure retreat and SUP yoga teacher training company focusing on water safety, yoga, and getting out in nature. Rose Ode

Rose teaches her yoga classes by creatinga safe space filled with warmth, love, and playfulness. Her yoga adventure began in the spring of 2000. She completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training in 2009 and the Mentorship Program in 2012. In her class, students are encouraged to contemplate and explore their body, mind, and spirit connections breath-by-breath, and she teaches her students to respect their bodies and honor what feelings arise. Off the mat, Rose delights in hiking, biking, and swimming outdoors under the summer sun. She may also be found with her hands in the dirt at the Golden Community Garden.

Missy Pujatnai Fisher

Missy Pujatnai Yoga Instructor Golden ColoradoMissy became a dedicated practitioner of yoga in 2007, and in 2011, she completed her with Vital Yoga. She teaches what she likes to practice: rigorous and playful Vinyasa style with introductions to advanced postures, and she encourages her students to focus on proper alignment. She provides a fun, welcoming environment for students of all levels to practice, and she encourages students to push themselves to their own limits. Missy has done deep spiritual work opening her heart, and she guides students to do the same. Missy was raised in Colorado and enjoys being an active skier, hiker, and yogini. In addition, she owns Free to Fly, a business focused on helping you break through any blockages keeping you from your full potential. In addition to yoga, Free to Fly offers individual and group psychotherapy using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a mindfulness-based model helping clients with interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

Tiffany Shocklee

Tiffany Shoklee Yoga Instructor Earth Treks GoldenTiffany has completed teacher trainings at YogaWorks (2004), Esalen Institute (2007), and Om Time (2009). She has 12 years of experience as a yoga teacher and massage therapist, giving her a solid foundation in the art and science of practicing yoga. With gratitude to her many teachers, such as Julian Walker and Shannon Paige, Tiffany opens doors into the infinite possibilities of this practice, and she inspires her students to do the same. Rock climbing has been a powerful influence on Tiffany’s teaching, and she draws upon her connection with climbing and her knowledge of climbers’ unique needs to shape her yoga classes. In her alignment-based Vinyasa classes, Tiffany blends the precision of therapeutic alignment with creative, rhythmic sequencing to create a conversation between breath and body.

Courtney Taucher

In 2015, Courtney trained with Santosh Powell in the “Give Peace a Chance” 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Asana Yoga. Highly passionate about her yoga practice, Courtney enjoys sharing the benefits of yoga with clients of any experience level. She believes in the importance of breath, movement, and mindfulness, and she seeks to help people reach their goals through her yoga practice.

Elan Taylor

Elan began practicing yoga in 2010 and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2012. Elan often prefers balancing on her hands to standing on her feet and has learned through the yoga practice that you can accomplish anything with equal parts patience and determination. With a background in Vinyasa yoga and a love for going upside down, she encourages playfulness and laughter in class. Elan uses the yoga practice as a vessel for students to step outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves. Elan reminds her students that ease, gratitude, and joy can guide their actions in any circumstance, and she is grateful to be able to share her passion for yoga by creating a space of possibility for students to grow both on and off their mat.

Amy Wansing

Amy began practicing yoga in 2011 and has been teaching since 2015 when she completing her training in India and Nepal. Her classes are challenging yet lighthearted, and they focus on subtle alignment and creative transitions. She enjoys expanding students' awareness of the world of yoga beyond asana, including mantra, meditation, and breath control. As tools that enrich the present moment both on and off the mat, Amy encourages her students to connect with these and all aspects of practicing yoga.
