Summer Climbing Day Camp

This 5-day indoor and outdoor rock climbing camp will be the highlight of your child’s summer. Your child’s development includes the skills of belaying and tying into the rope and the movement and problem solving skills needed in climbing. Participants meet daily at Earth Treks Climbing Center in Columbia, Timonium, or Rockville. The first day is spent inside with team building challenges, learning belay skills and rock climbing safety. The next three days are spent at Great Falls, Rocks State Park, or other local rock climbing sites. The week will culminate with a friendly Climbers’ Olympics at Earth Treks on Friday with a pizza lunch. There are no climbing prerequisites, but our Friday Nite Rox program would be a great primer.

Camp Timeline:
Monday & Friday - 9:00am-3:00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 8:00am-4:00pm

Extended Care ($65, $40 for members): Earth Treks offers extended care for families who have work schedules that are not compatible with our camp schedule. Campers may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. each morning and picked up as late as 5:30 p.m. each afternoon.

Registration Instructions:

• Online Registration: Use buttons below to register or check for availability. Use the drop downs to search for sessions during the summer months. After registering, complete page 2, 3 & 4 of the Summer Day Camp Forms and bring them with you on the first day of camp (please mail in advance if there is a medical or dietary concern). Multiple participants can be enrolled at the same time for one session, but if registering for multiple sessions each session must be registered for separately.
• Registration by Mail: Complete all pages of the Summer Day Camp Forms and mail them to us with full payment.
